Welcome to City Foundation Nursery

We understand that choosing a Nursery or Pre-school that is the right environment for your child can be a difficult decision, which is why we do our best to make your choice as easy as possible.

We are aware that not all our lives are 8am-4pm. Perhaps you only require a nursery place fortnightly or differing times in a day. We are totally flexible… please feel free to talk to us.
In the three annual long holidays we provide a popular club for 2-8 year olds.

City Foundation Nursery School is a place where your child is offered so many opportunities to explore and discover for themselves, (clearly support is always on hand.) This leads to a pride in their own achievements and clearer memory of what they learnt. Our carefully prepared problem solving and reasoning games make learning fun. We promote curious minds. Weekly science experiments and daily “back to basics” water, sand tray and baking all add to their hands on experiences. The children are actively involved in creating the bright surroundings of our Nursery, where your child’s personal skills are recognised and praised. A place where their voice and opinions are truly heard.

We believe that educational resources and the results achieved can arise from natural items and objects in their world. This we enhance through daily outings in and around Chester, not forgetting because of our handy location, we easily arrange trips on a train to places of interest, without fuss!

All children gain valuable phonic knowledge from day one, recognise the signs and letters through multi sensory learning. A valuable skill they will rely throughout their schooling.

This together with their time and progress through Nursery are recorded in their unique “Learning Journeys.” A personal record full of happy memories for them to share with you and treasure for years to come.
